This position involves accurately receiving, shipping, inspecting, and documenting shipments, while supporting overall warehouse operations. We have first shift and second shift positions open. First shift typically operates Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm, and Fridays 6am-2:30pm. Second shift typically operates Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-2am and Fridays 1:30pm-10pm.
*Only guaranteed 40 hours*
Duties (including but not limited to)
- Receive inbound shipments, ensuring accurate documentation of all items received
- Inspect incoming shipments for damages or discrepancies
- Operate forklifts safely to move material if needed
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Operate overhead cranes safely to unload trucks or rail cars
- Assist in tagging material accurately
- Collaborate with team members
- Measure material accurately to ensure you are entering in the right data
Experience
- Previous experience with overhead cranes
- Basic computer knowledge
- Experience in data entry and receiving is preferred
- Basic reading skills is essential to ensure you are correctly filling out paperwork
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
