Diagnoses and treats speech, language and swallowing disorders and engages in scientific study of human communication. Treats disorders such as stuttering, delayed language development, speech, voice and articulation problems.
- Evaluates speech and language skills as related to educations, medical, social and psychological factors.
- Plans, directs and conducts rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communicative efficiency of individuals with communication problems of organic or nonorganic etiology.
- Responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, cognitive, communication, voice, swallowing, fluency, and other related disorders.
- Maintains records, monitors progress, and counsel’s patients and their family members.
- Communicates regularly within the department, facility, and outside affiliations.
- Caseload to include patients at Grand River Clinic West and residents at the Care Center as needed.
- Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.
Who We're Looking For
- Master’s Degree and ASHA certification
- Active Colorado license as a Speech Language Pathologist required.
- Must have current BLS certification upon initial employment and maintain current status throughout GRHD employment.
- 2 years of working experience preferred.
- Pediatric working experience in a clinical setting highly preferred.
