Description:
This position is responsible for the preparation, review and reconciliation of the Operations General Ledger and financial information. Prepare accurate and timely financial and management information for the Tribal Operation. Assist Administrator and Council in analyzing data to maximize profitability and efficiency. Provide management information and tools to the above users. Coordination of the budget process and provide user reports.
Education:
A four-year College Degree, preferably in Accounting and a minimum of 5 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of GAAP is required.
Qualifications:
Experience with Excel is essential. Must be able to maintain confidentiality. Mut have the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Proficiency in the use of word processing, database and spreadsheet software applications.
Grand Portage requires a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol testing for all positions. American Indian Preference will apply.
