Job Overview
The Grand Marais State Bank in Hutchinson, MN is looking for a meticulous and driven Document Specialist to join our team. This position offers an opportunity to develop professionally while contributing to our values of teamwork and exceptional customer service.
In this role, you will be responsible for working alongside Loan Officers to ensure that new and existing commercial and consumer loan documentation is efficiently and accurately prepared from start to close. This position will also assist in customer relations.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain new loan files in Hutchinson
- Prepare and review documentation necessary to close commercial and consumer loans
- Prepare and review documentation necessary to open new commercial and consumer bank accounts
- Assist with existing loan maintenance
- Order appraisals and prepare internal evaluations for compliance
- Maintain legal filings (i.e. UCCs, CNSs, Insurance, Titles, etc.)
- Process paid off loans
- Provide clerical services to Loan Officers
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer issues or inquiries in person and/or via phone or email
- Process secure customer transactions
- Assist the operations staff with daily duties and projects
- Comply with Bank Secrecy Act Policy (BSA) and all Bank Secrecy Regulations
Experience
- Experience in banking is preferred
- Familiarity with Streamline and/or OnBoard is advantageous
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary
- Proficiency in computer literacy, data entry, and typing accuracy is necessary
- Ability to perform basic math calculations is essential
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail is preferred
