What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admitting Clerk - Urgent Care position at Grand Lake Health System?
Hours of Job
- Part-time
- Monday - Friday hours are 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- Weekend hours are every other - 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Creates a positive impression for each patient, family member, visitor or staff while pre-admitting, admitting and/or registering, routing or escorting patients, family or visitors, serving as entity resource.
- Registers inpatient and outpatient when needed.
- In addition, obtains necessary signatures, completes paperwork, and distributes correctly.
- Checks and rechecks all paperwork before it leaves the area for complete information and accuracy.
Requirements
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as required.
- Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.
Education/Certifications
- High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience
- Previous Admitting/Registration experience required.
- Knowledge of medical insurances preferred.
