What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse position at Grand Island Surgery Center?
We are looking for a Registered Nurse for our Surgery department to care for our patients and facilitate their speedy recovery. The Grand Island Surgery Center provides a fun family-oriented atmosphere with competitive wages and benefits program. No night shifts, weekends, holidays, or call.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care.
- Checks room for needed supplies and prepares room for specific patient and procedure.
- Assists in transporting patient to OR and assists with the proper, safe positioning of the patient.
- Performs and/or directs appropriate surgical prep.
- Directs proper care of instruments, supplies, sterilization, and storage equipment.
- Performs sponge, needle, and instrument counts and documentation of same.
Skills
- Previous OR circulator experience is preferred, but willing to train qualified candidates.
- Potential for future management.
- Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedure.
- A team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Well organized and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Valid nursing license

Pay: $36.00 - $42.00 per hour
