What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Server position at Grand Island Casino Resort?
The Banquet Server is responsible for providing friendly service to create an exceptional experience for all guests. Each server's primary objective is to provide our guests with a memorable experience so they will want to return.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure food and beverages are served according to specific training procedures while maintaining a consistent presentation and proper food temperature.
- Set tableware in accordance with set expectations for each event.
- Assist in the cleanliness, care, and inventory of China, glass, flatware, and department equipment.
- Enforce and follow all sanitation procedures and safety guidelines.
- Immediately communicate special requests, guest problems, and concerns to the Banquet Supervisor.
- Assist with room set-up and tear-down, as needed.
- Assure an environment which emphasizes cooperation, communication, and teamwork with all departments.
- Support compliance with all internal procedures and regulatory requirements, including those associated with underage and intoxicated guests.
- Support current law and policy to provide a work environment free from illegal and discriminatory behavior.
- Complete job duties with minimal supervision, maintain acceptable attendance, and use appropriate judgment.
- Job duties, tasks, work hours, work requirements, and other duties as assigned may be added or changed at any time.
Required:
- Must hold a valid gaming license in accordance with the Nebraska Gaming Board.
- Must complete all company-required training within designated time frames.
