SENIOR URETHANE INSTALLER

Job Description:

Grand Industrial is seeking an experienced Senior Urethane Installer to lead field installation activities on commercial and industrial flooring projects. We are looking for a skilled flooring professional with strong urethane and concrete-coating experience who can perform major installation tasks independently and guide other installers.

This is a hands-on position that includes urethane concrete flooring, luxury vinyl tile (LVT), and carpet installation. You will coordinate daily installation work, monitor quality and production, and communicate progress and issues to the Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead and perform flooring installations and direct daily work assignments for installers.

· Verify concrete and subfloor preparation before installation and perform preparation work as needed.

· Oversee material mixing and application procedures, including working time and pot life.

· Perform and guide urethane installation, including gauge-raking, spike rolling, aggregate broadcasting, base and body coats, topcoats, and detail work.

· Monitor application thickness, material coverage, and workmanship against project specifications.

· Perform and coordinate LVT installation, including subfloor preparation, layout, cutting, placement, transitions, and finishing.

· Perform and coordinate carpet tile and broadloom carpet installation as assigned, including layout, fitting, seams, and finished edges.

· Maintain the production schedule and troubleshoot preparation, mixing, application, and finish issues.

· Train entry-level and intermediate installers in safe work practices and proper installation methods.

· Conduct quality-control inspections, assist with final project inspections, and report progress and issues to the Project Manager.

· Maintain tools and equipment, protect customer property, and keep work areas clean and organized.

· Follow company safety procedures and manufacturer instructions, wear required PPE, and promptly report unsafe conditions and equipment or material problems.

Qualifications:

· Two to four or more years of flooring or coatings experience preferred.

· Strong urethane and concrete-coating experience and the ability to independently perform all major installation tasks.

· Strong knowledge of surface preparation, material mixing, and application procedures.

· LVT and carpet installation experience preferred, with a willingness to expand skills across flooring systems.

· Ability to troubleshoot installation problems and maintain consistent quality and production.

· Ability to train entry-level and intermediate installers and direct daily installation work.

· Strong quality-control skills, a strong safety record, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

· Dependable attendance, professional conduct, and clear communication with crew members and the Project Manager.

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 55.0 per week
