Job Description

Grand Industrial is seeking experienced and dependable Concrete Finishers to join our growing industrial construction team in the Logansport, Indiana area.

This position supports a variety of industrial and commercial construction projects, including concrete foundations, slabs, floors, equipment pads, and facility improvements.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with concrete placement, finishing, forming, and surface preparation. We are looking for individuals who take pride in producing quality work, work well with others, and maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety.

What You'll Do

• Prepare work areas for concrete placement, including grading, leveling, forming, and surface preparation.
• Place, spread, level, and finish concrete according to project specifications.
• Operate hand tools and finishing equipment, including floats, trowels, screeds, edgers, and power trowels.
• Perform concrete finishing techniques to achieve smooth, level, and properly textured surfaces.
• Install and remove concrete forms as needed.
• Assist with concrete foundations, slabs, equipment pads, sidewalks, and other industrial or commercial concrete applications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications.
• Apply curing compounds, sealants, and other finishing materials as required.
• Inspect finished concrete surfaces to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements.
• Work alongside carpenters, laborers, equipment operators, and other construction professionals.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and jobsite requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 1 year of hands-on concrete placement or finishing experience.
• Experience using concrete finishing hand tools and equipment.
• Understanding of concrete preparation, pouring, leveling, and finishing techniques.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in an industrial construction environment.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Comfortable working at heights when required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must possess basic concrete finishing hand tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work overtime as project schedules require.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with industrial or commercial concrete construction.
• Experience operating power trowels, screeds, and other concrete finishing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and drawings.
• Experience with concrete forming, foundations, equipment pads, and large concrete slabs.
• Familiarity with concrete repair, resurfacing, and surface preparation.
• High school diploma or GED.

Work Schedule & Location

• Full-time position
• Typically 8–10-hour shifts
• Day shift
• Overtime and occasional weekend work based on project requirements
• Primary work area: Logansport, Indiana, and surrounding industrial project locations

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week

Experience:

• hands-on concrete placement: 1 year (Preferred)
• concrete finishing: 1 year (Preferred)
