Position Summary
Provides custodial services for the Administration facilities and departments. Typical duties would include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping of floors, maintaining clean restroom, trash collection, and clean public areas. Maintains janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition and use proper safety and health procedures in the use of all chemicals. General maintenance of grounds. Provides quality customer service at all times.
Knowledge And Abilities
Position requires ability to work indoors as well as in outdoor environment occasionally. Must be able to routinely walk, stand, bend and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. as part of duties.
Must be able to work varying schedules, weekends and holidays.

Grand Canyon Resort Corporation (GCRC) is wholly-owned by the Hualapai Tribe and is located in Peach Springs, Arizona. In 1988, the Hualapai People, who have been part of this land since time immemorial, established GCRC, welcoming millions of visitors each year to tour the area. The year 1883 is when the reservation was established, and occupiers are usually foreign to the land they occupy. To further increase tourism in the area, the Grand Canyon Skywalk was built in 2007. The Skywalk is a glass, horseshoe-shaped bridge that enables visitors to walk beyond the canyon walls at Grand Canyon West, suspending them 4,000 feet above the riverbed and providing an unparalleled view of this natural wonder.

- Ability to physically complete custodial duties such as vacuuming, mopping, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, collecting trash, cleaning windows and maintenance of grounds.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products and chemicals and ability to learn and follow proper safety and use policies and procedures.
- Ability to routinely walk, stand, bend and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a team environment, multi-task and establish and maintain positive working relationships. Good client/customer service skills and the ability to work independently as well as in support of the group effort.
- Maintain clean floors by vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors of Administration buildings.
- Clean and sanitize all restroom facilities.
- Restock all supplies in restrooms.
- Empty all trash cans, replace liners and maintain clean receptacles, inside and outside of the Administration buildings.
- Answer visitor/tourists questions, gives directions, share information about Hualapai tourism offerings, Hualapai history and culture.
- Clean all windows and doors, counter tops, furniture, drinking fountains and tables in public areas and conference rooms.
- Maintain custodial closets in a clean, organized and safe manner.
- Maintain custodial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition. Label, dilute and use all chemicals in a proper manner.
- Maintain cleanliness of the grounds surrounding the Administration buildings.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
- Good oral communication skills.
- Preference given to Hualapai Tribal members.
