Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility, including entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks.
- Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems to oversee activity and detect suspicious behavior.
- Manage access control by verifying identification and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
- Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies by assessing situations calmly and following established protocols.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing for theft or vandalism and reporting concerns immediately.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors with directions or inquiries while maintaining security protocols.
Experience
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras and alarm systems enhances effectiveness in this role.
- Basic first aid certification and CPR training are preferred to respond effectively during emergencies.
- Strong conflict management skills to handle tense situations professionally and calmly.
