Job Title: Bakery Packager

Overview: As a Bakery Packager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our bakery products are beautifully presented and ready for distribution to our customers. You will be responsible for the final touches on our delicious treats, including slicing bagels, dusting cookies with powdered sugar, and other finishing tasks, before carefully packaging them for sale.

You must have a high attention to detail!

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Finishing: Complete final preparations on bakery items, such as slicing, dusting, or applying finishing touches as required.
• Packaging: Efficiently and accurately package finished products according to established standards and guidelines.
• Quality Control: Maintain high standards of quality control to ensure only the best products are sent out to customers.
• Clipping and Sealing: Securely clip and seal packaging to maintain freshness and integrity during transportation and storage.
• Organization: Keep packaging area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Compliance: Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a safe working environment and high-quality products.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other bakery staff to coordinate production schedules and ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a bakery or food packaging environment is preferred but not required.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production demands.
• Commitment to upholding food safety and hygiene standards.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Capability to lift and move bakery trays and packages weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a warm and sometimes noisy bakery environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
