Grand Army South is the food outpost of Grand Army Bar (a beloved Brooklyn cocktail bar and seafood restaurant) located in Threes Brewery. Grand Army South delivers the same quality, hospitality, and energy in a more casual, high-volume setting. We’re seeking a reliable, personable, and detail-oriented Counter Server to join our team in our Greenpoint space.. This role is guest-facing and fast-paced, ideal for someone who thrives on efficiency, warmth, and teamwork. You’ll be the first and last impression for many of our guests — setting the tone for a welcoming and seamless experience.

General Duties and Responsibilities
- Taking orders and answering guests’ questions; being able to speak confidently and knowledgeably about our menu
- Running food from kitchen to tables
- Communicating dietary requirements or restrictions to kitchen
- Communicating any issues with guests to ownership
- Responsibly handling cash and credit card transactions
- Maintaining a visibly calm demeanor and excellence of work at all times regardless of the pace of service
- Opening and closing side work as assigned by ownership
- Deep cleaning or organization with kitchen team as directed by Executive Chef
- Learn and follow all Department of Health (DOH) guidelines
Team Expectations
- Adhere to the schedule created by the ownership; arrive on time and with a neat, clean appearance
- Be organized; take notes
- Be engaged in continuing staff education around food and beverages
- Be courteous, professional, and kind to guests and employees alike
- Be a proactive self-starter with a keen eye for details and ability to multitask
- Be open to feedback and notes for improvement
- Communicate responsibly and maturely; be open about any issues that may arise (internally or with guests) so that we can fix any problems that arise early on
