What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Specialist position at Grain Belt Supply Company?
Part time position in the accounting department of a manufacturing facility, approximately 20-25 hours per week Monday-Friday. Looking for someone who has a degree in Accounting or 2-3 years related experience. This would be perfect for an individual who needs a flexible schedule. Must be good with numbers, percentages, ratios, and geometry. Experience in Microsoft word and excel is necessary and you must be able to use a 10-key calculator efficiently. Must be able to work well with others, patient with co-workers and customers and willing to offer assistance if asked. Must be self motivated and can work independently.
Analyzes purchase orders, invoices, blue prints, work orders, notes, and other organizational data to job cost and enter inventory into computer. Reviews sales and inventory usage to adjust minimum and maximum levels of inventory stock. Periodically reviews inventory accounts for items that need written down or were not costed on a job and need a general ledger adjustment. Receives payment or obtains credit information for new customers. Expedites all available orders for month end billing and makes any necessary adjustments. Works at different work stations and at different tasks as business needs require. Produces work within acceptable time and in conformance to company quality requirements.
