What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technology Inegration Specialist position at Graham Elementary and Middle School?
This full-time position will provide expert guidance in the application of technologies in an educational setting; provide technical support and maintenance for computers, networks and other technology devices; and provide training and support in the use of both existing and emerging technologies.Engage in outreach activities with faculty to ease the transition to new technologies. Identify new services and opportunities for process improvement for holistic technology integration within the school community. Duties and expectations include a wide range of responsibilities supporting technology goals and objectives throughout our family of schools. Time related/committed to these responsibilities will be determined by IT supervisor, deans and upper administration. The position will report directly to the IT supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in technology, media or communication
Experience supporting users who utilize various LMS or other similar applications, Google Workspace for Education, Web Collaboration Tools (Google Meets, Zoom), Student Response Systems, and Academic Integrity Tools.
Experience training adult learners.
A combination of education and extensive experience may be considered.
Ability to work in multiple locations, potentially during same work-day
Preferred Qualifications
1-3 years’ experience supporting customers in K-12 or Higher Ed specific to academic/instructional technology.
Knowledge and experience working in learning management systems.
Ability to work independently, as a productive team member and show self-initiative.
Demonstrated skills in good customer service, customer relations, and multitasking.
Knowledge of emerging technologies in the education field and familiarity with online technology tools.
Outstanding communication skills, verbal and written.
Excellent problem-solving skills necessary.
Knowledge of IT service management best practices
Familiarity with the major concepts of specific instructional technologies such as web-conferencing tools, assessment tools, and/or media management tools.
Experience in providing training, documentation and resources to a user community.
Experience in conducting workshops in the area of technology.
