Graham Capital Company (www.grcap.com) is a privately held investment company and family shareholder office based in York, PA. This growth oriented company is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its family office team of finance professionals.
The Staff Accountant will support accounting and investment portfolio financial analysis functions for 100 entities.
Duties:
- Assist with various closing processes including timely and accurate preparation of journal entries
- Account/cash analysis and reconciliation
- Financial statement preparation assistance
- Processing of investment transactions
- Budget/reforecast preparation assistance
- Intercompany analysis/reconciliation
- Investment reconciliation
- Investment tracking/reporting
- Assist with year-end audit process
- Document various accounting processes to ensure that they comply with company guidelines and recommend process flow improvements
- Assist on special projects and other accounting tasks assigned as needed

- Ability to follow all company policies and procedures, as well as internal departmental procedures
- Ability to work in team driven environment yet be able to work independently to complete daily expectations and job duties
- Good organizational skills, excellent interpersonal communication skills (written and oral) and an attention to detail are required
- Ability to make accurate, independent decisions based on data provided
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced investment environment

- Ability to follow through and meet all deadlines consistently
- Ability to interact professionally with all levels within the organization
- This position is primarily in-person at our York, PA office
Required Qualifications Only:
- B. S. Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1 to 3 years experience a plus
- Windows/PC experience & strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) proficiency required
- Experience with Sage Intacct accounting software a plus but not required
- Excellent analytical skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communications skills required
