Senior Staff Accountant

Extreme Holdings, Inc.,parent company of do it outdoors media, the nation’s largest mobile promotions media company, and dio, an experiential advertising agency specializing in one-of-a-kind brand-to-consumer engagements, is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our team. This role will support the accounting operations of four operating entities and a real estate partnership, working closely with the Controller.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Controller, the Senior Staff Accountant will play a key role in our day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, reconciliations, revenue and expense accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting.

This is a hands-on role for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, works independently, solves problems, and looks for ways to improve processes. This position offers strong potential for advancement to a Controller role within 2-3 years.

What You'll Do

• Own key components of the monthly and year-end close
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and other general ledger activity
• Perform balance sheet and account reconciliations
• Support revenue accounting, client billing, accounts receivable, and collections
• Manage and support accounts payable and expense accounting
• Analyze account activity and investigate discrepancies
• Prepare financial reporting schedules and audit support
• Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Identify opportunities to improve and streamline accounting processes
• Partner with Operations and Sales to resolve accounting issues
• Assist with financial analysis and other special projects
• Assist with payroll processing and posting functions

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close
• Experience with account reconciliations and financial reporting
• Strong Excel skills, including filters, lookups and conditional sum formulas
• Experience with Sage or similar accounting software
• Experience with Paylocity or other payroll processing software
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

CPA or CPA candidacy is a plus, but not required.
