Graham C-Stores Co is seeking to fill a full-time Tax Accountant position in Wadsworth, IL. This qualified candidate will be responsible for all tax accounting and other departmental tasks
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: From $75,000.00 per year
Responsibilities: (Include but not limited to)
- Prepare, submit and pay all state and local taxes for Graham C-Stores Co
- Research annual tax rate changes and update tax database software
- Maintain margin spreadsheet with any tax changes
- Coordinate month end activity and run the closing process for the company
- Balance ATM activity daily, research and resolve any discrepancies
- Audit stores’ daily paperwork, ensuring adherence to company policies
- Post various month end journal entries
- Complete various monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with new processes to improve financial efficiency
- Report analysis and findings to management team
Qualifications:
- 4 year degree with a BS in accounting
- Must have 4 years' accounting experience
- Proven ability to meet strict state and local due dates
- Be detail and deadline-oriented with strong initiative and follow-through with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Willing to work with other hard working individuals
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Excellent written and interpersonal skills
