What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wood Finisher position at Grafton Piano & Organ Co., Inc.?
Grafton Piano & Organ Co. is a family owned business located in Souderton, PA that has been operating for over 60 years. We are looking to hire a wood refinisher. This is a great opportunity to learn a new trade in wood refinishing. Once trained you will:
- Repair or refinish used instruments for resale. This can include: sanding, staining, color blending, color matching, touch-up, burn-ins, and spraying new finish.
- Check over new instruments to correct any imperfections prior to delivery. You will learn to repair both lacquer and polyester finishes.
- Assist with various shop tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous finishing or woodworking experience is a plus, but not required.
- Must be comfortable working with hands and display and aptitude for craftsmanship.
- Must be able to work independently while meeting performance expectations.
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
