ProEco Field Technician

The Ohio/West Virginia Remediation Field Technician is responsible for performing hands-on site remediation, operating yellow iron support equipment, driving commercial vehicles, and implementing the company safety program to ensure a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment. The ideal candidate must have a practical understanding of applicable Federal, State, and Local safety and environmental regulations (i.e., OSHA, DOT, EPA, and Ohio EPA). The individual is responsible for assisting in managing on-site compliance, supporting compliance investigations, and ensuring operational logs, pre-trip vehicle inspections, and project reporting are completed accurately and timely. In addition, this individual will actively participate in new hire safety training, daily safety tailgates/stand-downs/toolbox talks, and support incident reporting. 

This position is a field intensive position with the expectation of an 85/15% field to shop/office ratio. This is a 24/7/365 position with the expectation that the individual shall be available by phone if needed for an emergency incident response or spill cleanup situation. It is also expected that this individual will work rotating shifts during day & night operations in conjunction and coordination with the Site Supervisor and Regional Operations Manager to support all aspects of field remediation and HSE as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·  Fully Support the Operations Management Team and Lead Site Supervisor with all

operational and HSE functions by actively executing tasks assigned by the Field Operations   Team.

• Perform hands-on execution of in-situ remediation applications, chemical injection hookups,

      manifold and pump monitoring, microbial injection support, and surfactant soil flushing.

• Execute ex-situ remediation duties, including mechanical soil mixing, stockpiling, excavation

      support, loading trucks, backfilling, and compaction.

• Safely operate a medium-sized mini excavator and a tracked compact skid steer for material moving, trenching, staging, site grading, and equipment decontamination.

• Maintain a valid Class A CDL to haul commercial flatbeds, equipment trailers, bulk remediation chemistry, and support tools between laydown yards, supplier locations, and project sites.

• Mobilize, connect, operate, and maintain pumps, hoses, manifold systems, frac/poly tanks, injection skids, generators, and field monitoring instruments.
• Assist Supervisors by identifying potential site hazards and suggesting safe practices as part of daily preplanning.

• Adhere strictly to all established safety processes and procedures, ensuring PPE and safety controls are utilized consistently.

• Conduct daily visual on-site safety assessments and participate actively in Job Safety/Environmental Analyses (JSEAs) and toolbox talks.

• Immediately report all safety violations, unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions, and undesirable activities to the Site Supervisor to ensure corrective measures are taken immediately.

• Educate and support fellow crew members through peer-to-peer coaching and active participation in weekly toolbox talk meetings.

• Immediately report all accidents, injuries, and near-misses; assist in complete accident investigations as required.

• Maintain current certification and readiness in basic first aid (1st Aid, CPR, and AED).

• Assist in maintaining field logs and safety documentation.

• Maintain third-party safety credentials and customer platform requirements (i.e., ISNetworld).

• Attend all mandatory safety meetings and customer safety orientations required by ProEco clients.

• Ensure completion of all required safety and equipment qualifications as requested by management and customers.

• Perform daily walkaround inspections, greasing, fluid maintenance, tool cleaning, and laydown yard housekeeping.

• Perform any additional assignments as directed by Management and Operations including field operational support for affiliated entities (such as Grady Rentals, ProCoil, and ProFlow).
