About the student

• 8th grade student
• The student needs to work with a tutor to work on his Mandarin Chinese.
• The student is an 8th grader attending Butler Middle School. He has been studying Mandarin since 1st grade but he has been told by the teacher that his fundamental skills are behind. The school is requesting he gets more help with the language.
• The goal is for the student to get ahead in his classes and progress his skills in speaking and writing Mandarin.
• The family wants 1 hour sessions 1-2 times a week during their available times. They are available Mon & Wed 3:30pm-5pm and Tue & Thur 3pm-8pm.
• The family is seeking a tutor who can meet at their home in Sandy in-between the Smith's shopping center and Falcon Park Playground.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates have prior experience working with middle school students.
• Ideal candidates will have prior experience teaching/tutoring Mandarin.
• Ideal candidates will be fluent in speaking and writing Mandarin.
• Willing to travel within your preferred local radius to meet the student (typically 5-10 miles)
• Due to insurance requirements, applicants must not be a minor.

Student Availability

MON & WED: 3:30pm-5:00pm

TUE & THUR: 3:00pm-8:00pm

Pay & Benefits

• $25.00-$30.00 per hour.
