- The student is an adult who needs to work with a tutor for assistance in her phlebotomy classes while attending CTI.
- The student is asking for a tutor who has experience with phlebotomy or has worked as a nurse (or other role that requires the knowledge of phlebotomy).
- The students needs a tutor who can help correct notes and to walk her through the course material. She will benefit from a tutor that can make sure that she understands the course material.
- The goal is for the student to understand the course material.
- Student wants 1-2 hour sessions once a week, on Saturday, between 9am-7pm.
- Student is seeking a tutor who can meet at their home in Oxnard.
COURSES DESCRIPTION:
Phlebotomy Classes at CTI -
-Be familiar with commonly used medical terminology related to phlebotomy
-Successfully obtain blood through various blood collection procedures
-Be familiar with complications and procedural errors
-Be familiar with blood collection equipment and procedures
-Understand the anatomy and physiology of the circulatory system
-Be aware of the legal issues related to blood collection procedures and patient care
-Understand the procedure for arterial blood collection
-Know about infection control, safety and first aid
Qualifications
- Ideal candidates have prior experience working with college students.
- Ideal candidates will have a strong phlebotomy background.
- Willing to travel within your preferred local radius to meet the student (typically 5-10 miles)
- Due to insurance requirements, applicants must not be a minor.
Student Availability
SAT: 9:00am-7:00pm
