Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks with Class B or A commercial driver’s licenses to transport materials across construction sites and job locations during night shifts
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of dump trucks and related heavy equipment, including excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, water trucks, and tankers
- Assist with loading and unloading materials using excavators, backhoes, loaders, and other heavy machinery, ensuring secure loads for transport
- Support construction activities by operating equipment such as graders, bulldozers (dozers), water trucks, horizontal drilling rigs, and Caterpillar machinery as needed
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and maintenance reports in compliance with safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members to coordinate material delivery schedules and address any operational issues promptly
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to uphold a safe working environment on night shifts
Experience
- Valid CDL license (Class B or A) with a clean driving record; experience driving dump trucks required
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, water trucks, backhoes, horizontal drilling rigs, tankers, and paving machinery
- Strong mechanical knowledge of truck systems and heavy equipment maintenance
- Construction site experience preferred, especially involving large-scale projects requiring coordination of multiple machines and vehicles
- Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment brands and operation standards is advantageous
- Ability to work independently during night hours while maintaining high safety standards
- Prior experience in construction or related industries demonstrating knowledge of heavy equipment operation and site safety protocols
