Physician Assistant Supervisor - Internal Medicine - Full Time Days
We’re seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant Supervisor to play a key role in shaping the future of behavioral health care. This pivotal position blends direct patient care with leadership responsibilities, offering a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact across our Psychiatry service line.
In This Role, You Will
- Perform history and physical examinations. Establishes a presumptive diagnosis
- Performs a general work-up including the ordering of appropriate laboratory studies.
- Lead and support Physician Assistants through:
- Training and onboarding
- Scheduling and coverage coordination
- Staff development and mentorship
- Partner with the Service Chief and attending physicians to drive departmental initiatives focused on:
- Quality improvement
- Patient experience
- Operational efficiency
Required Criteria
- Bachelor's or master's Degree in physician assistant studies
- Current NYS licensure
- NCCPA certification
- DEA certification
- Minimum 5 years of related previous experience
- BCLS Certification
