Job Title: Business Transformation Manager
Location: Houston, TX (Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Description:
We are seeking a Business Transformation Manager to lead process redesign and operational excellence initiatives within our industrial manufacturing environment. This is a business transformation role, not an IT Project Manager or Business Analyst position. The focus is on redesigning business processes to support digital transformation initiatives, challenging assumptions, and driving measurable business improvements.
Our client is a leading industrial manufacturer serving the Upstream Oil & Gas industry, fabricating equipment such as pipes, tools, and drilling systems for the exploration and extraction of oil and gas. This role requires someone who understands the realities of manufacturing operations and can translate business needs into scalable, future-ready processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end business transformation initiatives, from As-Is process mapping to To-Be process design.
- Challenge existing business processes and assumptions to identify opportunities for digitalization and operational efficiency.
- Drive process redesign with a focus on manufacturing operations, supply chain, and production workflows.
- Influence stakeholders across operations, engineering, supply chain, and IT to align on transformation goals.
- Support ERP implementations and digital transformation programs by ensuring business processes are optimized before technology is applied.
- Define and measure KPIs to track the success of process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure process changes are adopted and sustained.
- Provide thought leadership on operational excellence and continuous improvement methodologies.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience leading Business Transformation, Operational Excellence, or Process Redesign initiatives.
- Strong background in As-Is and To-Be process mapping and process optimization.
- Experience in industrial manufacturing environments (factories, plants, production facilities) is mandatory.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain, and production workflows.
- Experience supporting ERP implementations or digital transformation programs is highly relevant.
- Ability to challenge the status quo and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the Oil & Gas industry (Upstream) is a strong plus.
- Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or similar certifications.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and digital transformation tools.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- A business transformation professional who has driven process redesign, not just documented it.
- Someone who has challenged assumptions and implemented business improvements rather than only gathering requirements.
- A professional with a proven track record of influencing stakeholders and delivering measurable outcomes in manufacturing environments.
Work Environment:
- Onsite in Houston, TX.
- Industrial manufacturing setting with focus on production and operational processes.
- Fast-paced, transformation-driven environment.
