What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional--Overnight Asleep DSP (Must pass drivers background check) position at Gracelyn Group?
Working every other weekend is required along with working some holidays. For overnight shifts the schedule is 10pm-10am--no exceptions.
All positions do include working some weekends and holidays. Hourly wage is $12.50/hr. when sleeping and $19.00/hr when awake. We are seeking people who have behavioral intervention experience or willing to learn.
Direct Support Professional responsibilities would include:
- Implementing person-centered outcomes
- Personal Cares
- Medication administration
- Developing positive and healthy relationships with the residents and staff
- Teaching and mentoring in daily living skills
- Implementing behavioral intervention strategies
- Cultivating community connections
- Behavioral support
- Participate in weekly masterclasses focused on personal growth and leadership skills
Drivers License Requirement:
- Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record are required for inclusion for our insurance policy. If you do NOT pass the driving record, we will not be moving forward with your employment.

Physical Requirements:
You must be able to perform all physical skills required by GraceLyn Group Training. This includes the ability to perform an emergency use of manual restraint, as well as other skills. If during the physical skills training we deem you are not equipped for the position we may not move forward with your employment.
Qualifications:
- Must pass DHS background check
- Understanding of basic computer and email functionality
