Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering and processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring a welcoming environment
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and cashiering procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Culinary experience or familiarity with food preparation enhances your ability to assist in various restaurant tasks
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining a genuine approach to guest interactions
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience is highly desirable for creating a seamless guest journey
