Essential Duties:

  • Responsible for assigned projects. Reviews contract documents and requirements and coordinates construction activity in assigned area.
  • Support planning and execution of roadway and infrastructure projects.
  • Assist in reviewing construction drawings, plans, and technical documents.
  • Coordinate with field teams, contractors, and engineers to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Prepares and updates project schedules for contractors and/or subcontractors. Maintains database of active projects.
  • Responsible for pre-job conferences and attends all required project meetings.
  • Handles project correspondence, including but not limited to, schedules, RFI, proposals and daily reports.
  • Confirms material and equipment requirements with Superintendent. Coordinates submittals of material specifications with internal contact as needed.
  • Support coordination of electrical-related components (e.g., roadway lighting, ITS, utility interfaces) within projects.
  • Ensures availability of equipment and materials. Orders material, schedules delivery to meet project requirements, and coordinates the maintenance and repair of equipment with Fleet Maintenance department.
  • Analyze project data (costs, quantities, timelines) to support project decisions.
  • Responsible for profitability of all assigned projects. Provides project billing information to accounting and follows up to assure payment. Reviews cost data and provides forecasting information regarding projects. Investigates and initiates new methods and cost-saving procedures.
  • Conducts final project audit and reviews project procedures to ensure continued improvement.
  • Responsible for customer relations for assigned projects.
  • Responsible for estimating change orders for assigned projects up to $75K
  • Responsible for time sheets, travel, and clerical work for assigned projects
  • Promotes awareness of and follows Company and general safety policies.
  • Exhibits a core understanding of mutual respect and good customer service orientation in interactions with all people in the workplace.

Working Conditions:

  • Work hours vary Sunday thru Saturday, with hours based on operational needs.

  • Inter-Island Travel based on operational needs.

Equipment Use:

  • Vehicle usage for travel to various company locations

Mental and Physical Demands:

  • Needs to adapt well in face of workplace stressors such as competing priorities of reasonable or high significance.
  • Needs to be able to reason logically and make sound decisions, to consider alternative and diverse perspectives, to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and to interact effectively with people in a positive manner that engenders confidence and trust.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 20 lbs

Communication Demands:

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

Skills/Knowledge:

Math: Basic math to perform daily tasks.

Reading: Able to read and understand contract documents.

Ability to read blueprints.

Computer: Proficiency with Word, Excel, Access, Outlook

Sufficient keyboard proficiency for daily tasks.

Licenses: Valid Type 3 driver's license and favorable traffic abstract required

Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree within the field of Engineering, science, industrial, technology, math, or any other relevant field of study with minimum 3 years of Construction experience preferred. Or In lieu of Bachelor's Degree, 6 years Construction Industry experience required. Or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Salary : $75,000 - $100,000
