As a Personal Care Assistant Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the efforts of personal care assistants and Certified Nursing Assistants to ensure high-quality care for clients. Your responsibilities will include scheduling, training, and evaluating staff performance, as well as covering clients as needed while maintaining open communication with clients and their families to address any concerns and ensure satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure adequate client coverage.
- Provide personal care assistance to individuals in their homes or residential facilities.
- Facilitate both supervised and unsupervised visits.
- Assist with Filling PCA/CNA Schedules.
- Support individuals in maintaining their independence and promoting their overall well-being.
- Ensure the rights and dignity of residents are respected and upheld.
- Provide first aid and emergency care as needed.
- Facilitate introductions between PCAs/CNAs and their respective clients.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote a safe and supportive environment.
- Maintain an updated list of assigned clients.
- Admissions of new clients.

Specific Requirements
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
- Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc. and maintain the appearance of housekeeping areas, must perform regular inspections of resident rooms/units for sanitation, order, safety and proper performance of assigned duties.
- Must be willing to work harmoniously with other personnel as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Experience
At least two years of related experience is required. Supervisory experience is preferred.
