Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Controller role for 5 family businesses, located in Jonesborough, TN. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, which include creating and managing budgets, monitoring cash flow, preparing weekly and monthly financial reports, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards. Additional responsibilities include overseeing payroll, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank accounts, and performing financial forecasting to support business strategies. Close collaboration with leadership will be required to analyze financial performance and provide recommendations for growth and improvement.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including daily deposits, financial reporting, and budget management
- Proficiency in Quickbooks accounting software, payroll systems, and related financial tools
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with leadership and teams
- Prior experience in financial planning, forecasting, and compliance
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Five years experience in accounting required.
- Experience in the hospitality or construction industry is an advantage
- Proven ability to analyze data and provide actionable financial insight.
- Position requires full-time on site work. Remote work is not an option.
