Summary
Grace Management Group is seeking an experienced Quality Systems & GMP Manager to establish and lead our cosmetic quality program as we expand our manufacturing capabilities into cosmetics. This is a very hands-on role for a quality leader who understands good cosmetic manufacturing practices and enjoys designing and implementing a system from scratch where none has existed before. The individual should be skilled at researching and solving technical challenges, highly collaborative, and an excellent interpersonal communicator who enjoys facilitating change-management initiatives on the manufacturing floor. A successful candidate will provide the expertise needed to establish a robust cosmetic Quality Management System from the ground up (not just manage an existing system / program), integrate quality into product development and manufacturing, and prepare the organization for audits.
Key Responsibilities
· Design, implement, and continuously improve the company's cosmetic Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with FDA cosmetic cGMP requirements and industry best practices.
· Develop and implement quality policies, SOPs, work instructions, specifications, batch manufacturing records, document control, change control, deviation management, and CAPA systems.
· Integrate quality into all stages of product development and manufacturing.
· Support pilot batches, process validation, manufacturing scale-up, and technology transfer into production.
· Establish quality control testing programs for raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
· Develop microbiological testing strategies and environmental monitoring appropriate for cosmetic manufacturing.
· Establish retain sample programs, stability testing protocols, compatibility testing, and ongoing product monitoring programs.
· Partner with laboratory personnel to ensure testing methods, documentation, and data integrity support product quality.
· Build and maintain inspection-ready documentation and records.
· Lead internal audits, quality system assessments, and preparation for audits.
· Develop GMP training programs and foster a culture of quality throughout the organization.
· Build a sustainable quality framework capable of supporting continued growth and innovation.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
· Experience leading organizations through implementation of cosmetic GMP requirements and quality system development.
· Experience in preparing facilities for audits.
· Experience in cosmetics, personal care, OTC, pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing.
