Essential Functions
- Oversee and ensure timely completion of monthly, yearly financial close
- Oversee and ensure timely completion of other projects as assigned
- Prepare and record journal entries
- Reconciliation of Balance Sheet Accounts
- Analyze general ledger accounts as necessary
- Prepare and review monthly financials
- Reconcile bank statements
- Oversee preparation of all necessary documentation for annual audits and cost reports
- Maintain fixed assets and associated depreciation
- Make decisions and perform all duties in accordance with organization’s policies/procedures, state and federal regulations and in conformance with recognized standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality of information and records
- Communicate verbally and/or in writing to employees and outside business agencies/contacts
- Project a positive image of the organization in dealing with residents/clients, co-workers and external customers
- Experience with Great Plains and/or Business Central preferred
- Strong Information Systems aptitude
- Experience in Long-Term Care or other Health Care accounting/finance preferred
- Adapt to frequent interruptions and re-prioritization of tasks.
- Reaches at, below and above shoulder height occasionally
- Frequently twists, stoops, bends, climbs stairs; occasionally kneels, squats
- 100% of the workday is spent indoors. Sits, stands, walks intermittently during the workday.
