ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS:
- Plans, implements and develops overall rehabilitation policies, procedures and services within the organization.
- Commits to achieving high customer satisfaction for rehabilitative services.
- The ability to identify services through program planning and development.
- Assists therapy staff members in assessing the needs of individuals to ensure proper level therapeutic interventions are being implemented.
- Manage the daily activities of the rehabilitation programs such as staffing, scheduling, supervision, and continuous training.
- Hiring, training, and supporting new staff members.
- Collaboratively works with multidisciplinary team members to ensure departmental projects and goals of the department are being met and adhered to the departmental budget.
- Provides support, counsel, advice, training and education for individuals, family, caregivers and other professionals on the importance of being consistent with therapy treatment plans.
- Efficiently assembles extensive documentation on individuals’ progress, care services and therapy adjustments, when necessary, that aligns with standard medical documentation and facility protocol/procedures documentation.
- Collaboratively work with other therapy staff members to provide comprehensive care to individuals and their families.
- Must display excellent active listening skills, critical thinking skills, verbal/written communication skills, time management skills.
- Must display compassion, integrity and respect to all individuals.
- Supporting additional responsibilities and/or tasks as needed for the department.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Physically, be able to lift, transfer and assist patients while providing therapy interventions during physical activity.
- Must be able to lift and carry items up to 25lbs, including assisting individuals when needed.
- Ability to visually be able to perform job duties, including examining individuals and reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited Occupational, Physical, and/or Speech Pathology therapy program.
- License/Certifications: Must hold an active and in good standing Wisconsin Occupational, Physical and/or Speech Pathologist Therapist License and CPR Certification.
- Experience: 3-5 years of related experience in rehabilitation services.
- Follows/adheres to organization, federal, and state regulations and guidelines, including Resident/Client rights
- Maintains neat, well-groomed appearance, adhering to dress code of organization/program
