Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant Lead Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment tailored specifically for infants. Your leadership will ensure that each child's developmental needs are met through thoughtful curriculum development, individualized care, and effective classroom management. The Infant Lead Teacher is a paid position committed to fostering early childhood growth and learning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for infants.
  • Provide attentive, nurturing care to infants, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being at all times.
  • Manage classroom activities with a focus on behavior management and positive reinforcement strategies to create a calm and structured environment.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about each child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong partnerships.
  • Conduct assessments of child development using standardized testing methods and maintain detailed records of each child's growth and achievements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom management techniques, and early intervention strategies for children with special needs.
  • Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certifications.

Skills

  • Extensive experience working with children in early childhood settings, including toddler care and preschool environments.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, literacy education, and math instruction tailored for young learners.
  • Proven ability to manage classrooms effectively while maintaining a warm and engaging atmosphere.
  • Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with children, parents, and team members.
  • Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and behavior management techniques.
  • Ability to plan lessons that incorporate physical education activities and promote overall child welfare.
  • Knowledge of daycare standards, private school requirements, mandated reporting laws, and childhood safety protocols such as first aid and CPR certification.
