- This is a Part Time Summer Internship beginning in May and working a 4 day per week schedule.**

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Intern will support the HR team with a primary focus on recruitment activities and employee file management. This role offers hands-on experience in talent acquisition, onboarding processes, and HR administrative functions while maintaining confidentiality and organizational standards.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruitment Support
- Assist with posting job openings on internal and external job boards
- Partner with hiring manager to determine staffing needs.
- Screen resumes, interview candidates (by phone and in person), administer appropriate assessments, make recommendations for hire (or not hire) and deliver offers for both exempt and non-exempt position openings.
- Use traditional and non-traditional resources to identify and attract quality candidates such as career fairs, on-line job fairs, community network events, etc.
- Manage internal transfer process including posting positions, screening, coordination of interview with hiring manager, transfer, etc.
- Develop and maintain an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals.
- Communicate important employment information during delivery of employment offers i.e. benefits, compensation, etc.
- Manage current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system.
- Manage the applicant/resume file.
- Complete weekly report on employment activity.
- Organize new employee orientation.
- Organize, maintain, and audit employee personnel files
- Ensure compliance with document retention policies and confidentiality standards
- Assist with onboarding paperwork and employee documentation
- Audit files for receipt of all required information and follows up with employee to obtain missing documentation on an as needed basis.
- Support HR team with data entry and reporting tasks

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Interest in recruiting or talent acquisition
- Familiarity with HR systems or applicant tracking systems (ATS)
