Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Observe and monitor patients’ conditions regularly, accurately documenting vital signs, medical records, and changes in health status using Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility support utilizing equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Administer medications following prescribed protocols while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Perform specialized care procedures such as catheter care, hospice support, dementia and Alzheimer’s care, and memory care activities tailored to individual needs.
- Support patients during medical procedures by assisting with medical documentation and ensuring accurate recording of vital signs and other clinical data.
- Provide compassionate assistance with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met in accordance with dietary guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with laundry, cleaning duties, and ensuring infection control standards are upheld at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive patient care and communicate any concerns or observations promptly.
- Support patients’ emotional well-being through attentive caregiving and respectful communication, especially when working with individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairments.
Experience
- Prior experience working as a Certified Nurse Aide in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, home health agencies or similar settings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in patient observation, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and medical terminology.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease is advantageous.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for medical documentation is essential.
- Knowledge of hospice care practices, catheter care procedures, Hoyer lift operation, and long-term care protocols is desirable.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
