Preschool Teacher in Christian School

Job Summary

Teachers are responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for children typically ages 2-5 years old. The teacher supports early childhood development by planning age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities
• Foster a warm, caring, and inclusive classroom environment
• Support toddlers in developing language, motor, and social skills
• Supervise children at all times to ensure safety
• Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, potty training, and nap time
• Observe and document children’s progress and developmental milestones
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s development and daily activities
• Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom
• Follow all licensing regulations and health & safety guidelines
• Encourage positive behavior and model appropriate social interactions

Required Skills & Qualifications

• A high school diploma
• Knowledge of child development principles
• Patience, compassion, and strong communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and engage in active play
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
