Responsibilities

- Educate students in various subjects, focusing on literacy education and other core areas.
- Collaborate with parents, staff, and specialists to create and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students requiring additional support.
- Utilize Montessori methods and principles to enhance learning experiences in the classroom.
- Conduct assessments, including standardized testing, to evaluate student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes positive behavior and social skills among children.
- Supervise classroom activities, ensuring compliance with daycare and preschool regulations.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development and early childhood education principles.
- Experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings is essential.
- Familiarity with deaf education practices is a plus.
