We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of floors and surfaces.
- Maintain restrooms by cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking supplies as needed.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained.
- Handle commercial cleaning duties in various settings including offices, schools, or industrial facilities.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks to support the overall upkeep of the building.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly.
Qualifications
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Experience in commercial cleaning or industrial cleaning environments is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time effectively.
