Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout the event
- Assist with event setup and breakdown, including heavy lifting and manual handling of equipment and supplies
- Manage guest flow, direct attendees, and handle crowd control to ensure safety and enjoyment
- Support event operations by processing cash transactions using POS systems and handling cash accurately
- Enforce safety protocols, including first aid and CPR when necessary, to maintain a secure environment
- Address conflicts promptly through effective conflict management techniques, ensuring a positive experience for all
- Provide information about event activities, venue facilities, and answer guest inquiries confidently
- Support children’s activities or entertainment areas with patience and care, ensuring a safe environment for young attendees
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues quickly and maintain smooth event flow
Qualifications
- Previous experience in events management or hospitality is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently in public speaking roles
- Knowledge of conflict management strategies and conflict resolution techniques
- Certified in first aid and CPR or willing to obtain certification upon hire
- Experience working with children or in family-friendly environments is a plus
- Familiarity with retail sales, processing cash transactions, POS systems, and cash handling procedures
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Basic math skills for managing transactions accurately
- Experience working outdoors or in outdoor work environments preferred
- Knowledge of safety protocol adherence to ensure guest well-being at all times
- Previous resort or theater experience is advantageous but not required
