Summary:
Global Precision Parts, Inc (GPP) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Generalist, this position is responsible for coordinating and executing all HR functions, including employee relations, safety, compliance, training, benefits administration, and personnel recordkeeping. This role supports the organization’s goals by promoting a safe and compliant workplace, fostering positive employee engagement, and ensuring HR processes are followed with consistency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and maintain employee records, including attendance, PTO, benefits, FMLA, and performance evaluations.
- Manage all aspects of employee hiring, orientation, onboarding documentation, and training activities
- Conducts exit interviews and completes separation documentation.
- Conduct new employee orientations to foster understanding of company policies and promote a positive workplace culture.
- Assist in the administration of the weekly time cards and monthly reporting.
- Organize annual compliance and safety trainings (e.g., CPR, first aid, hazard communication, lock-out/tag-out, hearing testing).
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, maintain OSHA 300 Logs, and support plant safety initiatives.
- Assist with safety committee meetings
- Assist with the coordination of company extracurricular, employee appreciation, and team-building events.
- Support HR-related aspects of grant applications, when applicable.
- Collect wage and benefit survey data and maintain up-to-date wage scales according to a scheduled timeline.
- Assist in compliance initiatives related to employment law, workers' compensation, and internal policy enforcement.
- Represent the company at Worker’s Compensation and Unemployment hearings and investigations
- Maintain confidentiality in all matters related to employees and HR processes.
- Collaborate with the QA team regarding documentation for MSDS materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager or President.
Qualifications
- Associate degree (or higher) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of HR experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety requirements.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Must be able to travel as needed (one day/week, typically) between Ottoville, Ohio and Wabash, Indiana. Primary work location will be based on the employee’s residence.
