Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology
- 10 years of experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Experience working with AutoCAD. Specific experience with Civil 3D and/or Line Design Softwares such as O-Calc, SPIDAcalc, or DDS is a plus.
- Expertise in designing electrical distribution physical structures, routing, equipment specifications, and wiring.
- Authoritative ability to comprehend and interpret safety codes, utility standards and regulations.
- Strategic and detail-oriented, with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize complex systems and workflows.
- Trusted and respected, with deep expertise in fostering collaboration across disciplines and driving innovation within project teams.
- Forward-thinking communicator with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences and drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Valid Driver’s License is required.
- Oversee design reviews and validation procedures. Review and ensure the accuracy and safety of the design of electrical distribution facilities.
- Establish and refine quality standards aligned with industry best practices.
- Spearhead the development and implementation of quality control procedures.
- Mentor engineers with varying levels of experience in applying QA/QC principles and maintaining technical excellence.
- Champion QA/QC processes to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality engineering outputs.
- Interface with project managers to align quality goals with schedule and budget.
