Position Responsibilities
- Manage workers' compensation files from inception through resolution
- Analyze new matters and develop litigation and case management strategies
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other workers' compensation filings
- Conduct legal research and prepare case evaluations
- Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and other litigation-related proceedings
- Negotiate settlements and communicate recommendations to clients
- Maintain regular communication with clients, adjusters, and support staff
- Assist with trial and hearing preparation as needed
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law (or pending bar results where applicable)
- 1-5 years of workers' compensation, insurance defense, or civil litigation experience preferred
- Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment
- Exceptional client service and communication skills
- Desire to develop courtroom and litigation experience
