Position Overview
We are looking for a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney with 5 years of experience to handle a variety of workers' compensation cases. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on complex matters and provide strategic counsel to clients.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in workers' compensation defense cases, including claim investigations, hearings, and appeals.
- Advise employers and third-party administrators on workers' compensation law and claim management.
- Draft legal pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
- Conduct discovery, including depositions and subpoenas.
- Participate in case strategy meetings and collaborate with senior/partner attorneys to develop defense strategies.
- Manage a caseload of workers' compensation cases from inception to resolution.
- Represent clients at workers' compensation hearings and before the Workers' Compensation Commission.
- Member of the California Bar Association
- 5 years of experience in workers' compensation law defense.
- Strong understanding of workers' compensation laws and regulations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work independently.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible schedule (Ability to work from home)
- Direct client interaction and significant responsibility for complex and sophisticated legal matters.
