The Opportunity

A leading international law firm is seeking a Senior Insurance Coverage Litigation Attorney to join its Miami team. This opportunity offers sophisticated, high-value insurance coverage and market-conduct litigation for U.S. and international insurer clients across the country.

The successful candidate will manage complex coverage matters, provide strategic advice to insurer clients, and contribute to a collaborative team serving risk-intensive industries through a substantial national and global platform.

Practice Focus

The practice includes complex insurance coverage litigation and advisory work involving:

• Commercial general liability coverage
• Commercial property claims, including business interruption and pollution matters
• Professional liability and errors-and-omissions coverage for lawyers, agents, and accountants
• Directors and officers coverage
• Market-conduct and insurance bad-faith matters
• Complex liability-insurance disputes
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies, claims, and coverage issues
• Prepare coverage opinions and strategic recommendations for insurer clients
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw, Lexis, and Nexis
• Draft interrogatories, document demands, discovery responses, motions, and other litigation materials
• Review documents and prepare files for litigation
• Attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and other proceedings as required
• Manage competing deadlines across sensitive and complex matters
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop practical coverage and litigation strategies
  
  

Qualifications

• Active Florida Bar admission required
• 7 years of relevant litigation experience preferred
• Experience in insurance coverage, insurance bad faith, commercial litigation, or related liability-insurance matters strongly preferred
• Strong academic credentials; Law Review and/or academic honours are an asset
• Exceptional legal research, writing, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to independently manage sophisticated matters and communicate effectively with insurer clients
• Strong professional judgment and attention to detail
