We are seeking a dedicated and results-driven Personal Injury Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will represent clients who have suffered injuries due to the negligence of others, handling cases from initial consultation through settlement negotiations or trial. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and other negligence claims.
- Conduct client consultations and evaluate potential claims.
- Investigate cases by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and reviewing medical records and accident reports.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, settlement demands, and other legal documents.
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
- Take and defend depositions, attend mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings.
- Prepare cases for trial and represent clients in court when necessary.
- Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, medical experts, and investigators.
- Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status and legal strategy.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, court rules, and ethical standards.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the applicable state.
- 2 years of personal injury litigation experience preferred (entry-level candidates with relevant internship or clerkship experience may be considered).
- Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and personal injury law.
- Excellent legal research, writing, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases while meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal and client relationship management skills.
- Proficiency with legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Trial experience.
- Experience handling high-value personal injury claims.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and reviewing medical records.
- Proven track record of successful settlements and verdicts.
