This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who knows how to run crews, manage schedules, and deliver safe, high-quality paving work from start to finish.
What You'll Do
- Oversee all aspects of asphalt paving operations, including grading, base, paving, and striping
- Lead, schedule, and manage paving crews to ensure productivity, quality, and safety
- Coordinate equipment, materials, trucking, and subcontractors to keep projects moving efficiently
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements
- Monitor daily production, job costs, and schedules; adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines
- Communicate with project managers, inspectors, owners, and suppliers
- Conduct daily jobsite safety meetings and enforce company safety policies
- Troubleshoot field issues and proactively resolve challenges
- 5 years of experience supervising asphalt paving operations
- Strong knowledge of asphalt paving methods, materials, and equipment
- Proven ability to lead crews and maintain high production standards
- Solid understanding of grading, compaction, and paving specifications
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to read plans and coordinate work accordingly
- Willingness to work extended hours during peak paving season
