The Millwright will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and relocating heavy industrial machinery and equipment used throughout our fabrication facility. Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, align, and dismantle industrial machinery and equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on fabrication equipment, conveyors, overhead cranes, welding equipment, and other production machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and work orders.
- Inspect machinery and identify potential mechanical issues before failures occur.
- Replace bearings, motors, gearboxes, belts, chains, shafts, and other mechanical components.
- Assist with equipment upgrades, plant expansions, and machinery relocations.
- Operate forklifts, aerial lifts, rigging equipment, and overhead cranes safely.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders in a timely manner.
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate with maintenance, production, and management teams to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Minimum of 2 years of Millwright, Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technician, or related experience.
- Experience working in a steel fabrication, manufacturing, industrial, or heavy equipment environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, power transmission components, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
- Experience with rigging, equipment alignment, and machinery installation.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and maintenance equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work in industrial environments for extended periods.
- Comfortable working at heights and in varying plant conditions.
- Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed.
