Position Responsibilities
- Handle all aspects of litigation including investigation, drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, attending court hearings, and managing trial preparation
- Provide legal analysis and guidance on complex legal matters
- Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop effective litigation strategies
- Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations
- Stay current on industry developments, legal updates, and relevant case law
- Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents
- Prepare and respond to discovery, including document production and interrogatories
- Attend depositions, hearings, and related proceedings
- Work collaboratively with clients, expert witnesses, and legal team members on case preparation
- Present oral arguments and advocate for client interests in court
- 2-5 years of civil litigation experience
- Active Oregon Bar license required
- Strong understanding of legal concepts, procedures, and practices
- Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
- Effective communicator with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
