Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Leadership & Operations
- Direct all day-to-day warehouse and distribution activities, ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective operations.
- Lead workforce planning, labor utilization, productivity initiatives, and operational performance metrics.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy, throughput, customer service, and overall operational efficiency.
- Manage warehouse budgets, expenses, and operational reporting, including performance reviews and KPI analysis.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Partner with transportation, customer service, and supply chain teams to support business objectives and customer expectations.
- Maintain and continuously improve the organization's Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry regulations, customer requirements, and quality standards.
- Lead internal audits, customer audits, and third-party assessments.
- Oversee corrective and preventive action (CAPA) programs and root-cause investigations.
- Establish and maintain document control procedures and quality records.
- Monitor process effectiveness and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and administer warehouse, quality, safety, and compliance training programs.
- Coach and mentor supervisors and operational personnel to build leadership capabilities.
- Ensure all employees receive required training and maintain appropriate certifications.
- Promote a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous learning throughout the operation.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Utilize data analysis and reporting tools to drive operational decision-making.
- Lead cross-functional improvement projects focused on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Champion best practices in warehousing, inventory management, quality assurance, and workplace safety.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, Quality Management, or a related field preferred.
- 7 years of leadership experience in a 3PL, distribution, transportation, or logistics environment
- Experience managing warehouse operations supporting multiple customers and service-level agreements (SLAs)
- Experience with WMS platforms, inventory control, transportation coordination, and customer-facing logistics operations
- Background in ISO standards, audits, and compliance within a logistics or distribution setting preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with Quality Management Systems (QMS), compliance programs, or regulated operational environments.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, and best operational practices.
- Experience leading audits, corrective action programs, and process improvement initiatives.
- Working knowledge of ISO standards, quality frameworks, and regulatory compliance requirements preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team development abilities.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, CSCP, CQA, CQE, or similar certifications is highly desirable.
